ಆಗ ಎಬೆದ್ಮೆಲೆಕನು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಖಜಾನೆ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹರಿದು ಹೋದ ಹಳೇ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸವೆದು ಹೋದ ಹಳೇ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಿದನು.

10ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಕೂಷ್ಯನಾದ ಎಬೆದ್ಮೆಲೆಕನಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನನ್ನು ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎತ್ತೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
11ಆಗ ಎಬೆದ್ಮೆಲೆಕನು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಖಜಾನೆ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹರಿದು ಹೋದ ಹಳೇ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸವೆದು ಹೋದ ಹಳೇ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಿದನು.
12ಕೂಷ್ಯನಾದ ಎಬೆದ್ಮೆಲೆಕನು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ-- ಹರಿದು ಸವೆದು ಹೋದ ಈ ಹಳೇಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಗ್ಗಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಂಕಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ ಅಂದನು; ಯೆರೆ ವಿಾಯನು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
13ಹೀಗೆ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನನ್ನು ಎಳೆದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎತ್ತಿದರು; ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದನು.
