ಶೆಕೆಮ್‌ನಿಂದಲೂ ಶಿಲೋವಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ದಿಂದಲೂ ಎಂಭತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಗಡ್ಡವನ್ನು ಕ್ಷೌರಮಾಡಿದವರಾಗಿಯೂ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಕೊಂಡವ ರಾಗಿಯೂ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಧೂಪವನ್ನೂ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.

- 6ಆಗ ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ಮಿಚ್ಪದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು, ಅಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಅವರ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು; ಅವರನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಅಹೀಕಾ ಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗೆದಲ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 7ಆಗ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಅವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
