ಆಕೆಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಹೌದು, ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ದೇವರಮಗನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನೀನೇ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದಳು.

25ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನಾನೇ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವೂ ಜೀವವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡುವವನು ಸತ್ತರೂ ಬದುಕುವನು;
26ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವದಾದರೆ ಅವನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಸಾಯುವ ದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನಂಬುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ

28ಆಕೆಯು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ಮರಿಯಳನ್ನು ಗುಪ್ತ ವಾಗಿ ಕರೆದು--ಬೋಧಕನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದಳು.
29ಆಕೆಯು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಎದ್ದು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು.
