ನಾನೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಬಳ್ಳಿ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ವ್ಯವಸಾಯಗಾರನು.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲಫಲಿಸದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಫಲಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕೊಂಬೆಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಫಲಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತಿನ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ನೀವು ಈಗ ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರ್ರಿ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆ ಗೊಂಡಿರುವೆನು. ಕೊಂಬೆಯು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇಯಬಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಫಲ ಕೊಡಲಾರದೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವೂ ನನ್ನಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಫಲಕೊಡಲಾರಿರಿ.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
ನಾನೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇಬಳ್ಳಿ, ನೀವು ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು; ಒಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನೇ ಬಹಳ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾರಿರಿ.
I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
ಒಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ಕೊಂಬೆಯಂತೆ ಬಿಸಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕುವರು; ಅವು ಸುಡಲ್ಪಡುವವು.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.
ನೀವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಅದು ದೊರೆ ಯುವದು.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
ನೀವು ಬಹಳ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವದು; ಹೀಗೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾಗುವಿರಿ.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಆತನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರು ವಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡರೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
ನನ್ನ ಆನಂದವು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆನಂದವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.
ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬದೇ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದು ಯಾವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿರುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಳುಗಳೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ತನ್ನ ದಣಿಯು ಮಾಡುವಂಥದ್ದು ಆಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೆಂದು ಕರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು, ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ಫಲಕೊಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಫಲವು ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಆತನು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವನು.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
These things I command you, that ye love one another.
ಲೋಕವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಅದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದೆ.
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.
ನೀವು ಲೋಕದವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಲೋಕವು ತನ್ನವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಲೋಕದವರಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವದರಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ಲೋಕದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಲೋಕವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
ತನ್ನ ದಣಿಗಿಂತ ಆಳು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವರು. ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೈ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸ ರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುವರು.
But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
ನಾನು ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಪವು ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವರ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ನೆವವಿಲ್ಲ.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡುವವನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಮಾಡದಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪಾಪವು ಇರು ತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
ಆದರೆ--ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿ ದ್ವೇಷ ಮಾಡಿದರೆಂದು ಅವರ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರುವಂತೆ ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು.
But [this cometh to pass], that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
ಆದರೆ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ಆದರಿಕನು ಅಂದರೆ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ಸತ್ಯದ ಆತ್ಮನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುವನು.ನೀವು ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುವಿರಿ.
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
ನೀವು ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುವಿರಿ.
And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
