1ನಾನೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಬಳ್ಳಿ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ವ್ಯವಸಾಯಗಾರನು.
2ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲಫಲಿಸದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಫಲಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕೊಂಬೆಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಫಲಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

4ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರ್ರಿ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆ ಗೊಂಡಿರುವೆನು. ಕೊಂಬೆಯು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇಯಬಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಫಲ ಕೊಡಲಾರದೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವೂ ನನ್ನಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಫಲಕೊಡಲಾರಿರಿ.
5ನಾನೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇಬಳ್ಳಿ, ನೀವು ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು; ಒಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನೇ ಬಹಳ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾರಿರಿ.
