ಆಗ ಆತನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು--ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಅಂದರು.

Aaga aatanu tirigi avarige--neevu yaarannu hudukutteeri endu kelalu avaru--najaretina yesuvannu andaru.

5ಅವರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸು ಅಂದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನೇ ಆತನು ಅಂದನು. ಮತ್ತು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಡುಕೊಡುವ ಯೂದನು ಸಹ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು.
6ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನೇ ಆತನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವರು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿದು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದರು.
7ಆಗ ಆತನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು--ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಅಂದರು.
8ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನಾನೇ ಆತನು ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ; ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನೆ ಹುಡುಕು ವುದಾದರೆ ಇವರನ್ನು ಹೋಗಬಿಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
9ಹೀಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ನಾನು ಕಳಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಆತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರುವಂತೆ ಇದಾಯಿತು.
