ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಸಮುದ್ರಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಕಪೆರ್ನೌಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿ ದ್ದರು. ಆಗಲೇ ಕತ್ತಲಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

- 17ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಸಮುದ್ರಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಕಪೆರ್ನೌಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿ ದ್ದರು. ಆಗಲೇ ಕತ್ತಲಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
- 18ಆಗ ಬಲವಾದ ಗಾಳಿಯು ಬೀಸಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಅಲ್ಲಕಲ್ಲೋಲವಾಯಿತು.
- 19ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಹುಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾ ಒಂದು ಹರದಾರಿಯಷ್ಟು ದೂರ ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದು ತಮ್ಮ ದೋಣಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸವಿಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಿರು ವದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕಂಡು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
