ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಕತ್ತೇಮರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರುವ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರರು ಇದ್ದರು. ಇವರಿಗೆ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿದ್ದವು; ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಹವೋತ್ಯಾಯಾರೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿದೆ.

- 6ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಮಾಡಿ ಬಾಳನನ್ನೂ ಅಷ್ಟೋರೆತನ್ನೂ ಸಿರಿಯಾ ದೇಶದ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಚೀದೋನಿನ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೇವಿಸುವವರಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿ ಸದೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದರು.
