28ಆಗ ಎಬೆದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗಾಳನು--ನಾವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಬೀ ಮೆಲೆಕನು ಯಾರು? ಶೆಕೆಮನು ಯಾರು? ಅವನು ಯೆರುಬ್ಬಾಳನ ಮಗನಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವನ ಪ್ರಧಾನನು ಜೆಬುಲನಲ್ಲವೋ? ಶೆಕೆಮಿನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಹಮೋರನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೇ ಸೇವಿಸಿರಿ; ಇವನನ್ನು ನಾವು ಯಾಕೆ ಸೇವಿಸಬೇಕು?
29ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವೆನು. ಅವನು ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟು ಬಾ ಅಂದನು.
30ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಜೆಬುಲನು ಎಬೆದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗಾಳನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು
31ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾಗಿ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ಇಗೋ, ಎಬೆದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗಾಳನೂ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರೂ ಶೆಕೆಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇಗೋ, ಅವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬಲಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
32ಆದದ ರಿಂದ ಈಗ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಜನರೂ ಕೂಡಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕು.
