ಅವನು ಆತ್ಮನಿಂದ ದೇವಾಲಯದೊಳಗೆ ಬಂದನು; ಶಿಶುವಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಒಳಗೆ ತಂದರು.

- 25ಇಗೋ, ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಇವನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ ಭಕ್ತನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಆದರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಇವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ಇದ್ದನು.
