ಆಗ ಹಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ದರು; ಅವರು ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿ ಏನೆಂದು ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟರು.

- 12ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೆವ್ವಗಳು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಆ ಹಂದಿಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸು ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡವು.
- 13ಕೂಡಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆಗ ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮಗಳು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಹಂದಿಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡವು; ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಗುಂಪು ಉಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಓಡಿ ಇಳಿಜಾರಿನಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರದೊಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಉಸುರುಗಟ್ಟಿ ಸತ್ತವು. (ಅವು ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಇದ್ದವು.)
- 14ಆಗ ಹಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ದರು; ಅವರು ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿ ಏನೆಂದು ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟರು.
- 15ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆ ದೆವ್ವಗಳ ದಂಡು ಹಿಡಿದವನು ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಚಿತ್ತದಿಂದ ಕೂತು ಕೊಂಡಿರುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
- 16ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವರು ದೆವ್ವ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದವನಿಗೆ ಆದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಹಂದಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
