ಆಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮರೆತಿದ್ದರು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೋಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೇನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

Aaga shishyaru rottiyannu takkolluvadakke maretiddaru; idallade doniyalli avarige ondu rottiginta hechchenoo iralilla.

King James Version (KJV): Now [the disciples] had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

12ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀರ್ಘವಾಗಿ ನಿಟ್ಟುಸಿರುಬಿಟ್ಟು--ಈ ಸಂತ ತಿಯು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ಈ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೂ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡು ವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
13ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರಿಗಿ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಆಚೇದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದನು.
14ಆಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮರೆತಿದ್ದರು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೋಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೇನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
15ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಹುಳಿಯ ವಿಷಯ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆರೋದನ ಹುಳಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀವು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಇರ್ರಿ ಎಂದು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
16ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ--ನಮಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವದರಿಂದಲೇ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಅವರು ತರ್ಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
