1ಆರು ದಿನಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಪೇತ್ರನನ್ನೂ ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನನನ್ನೂ ವಿಂಗಡವಾಗಿ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಒಂದು ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
2ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ರೂಪಾಂತರ ಗೊಂಡನು. ಆತನ ಮುಖವು ಸೂರ್ಯನಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಿತು; ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಉಡುಪು ಬೆಳಕಿನಂತೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಿತ್ತು.
3ಇಗೋ, ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಎಲೀಯನೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆತನ ಕೂಡ ಮಾತನಾಡು ತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
4ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರುವದು ನಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು. ನಿನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾವು ನಿನಗೊಂದು ಮೋಶೆಗೊಂದು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲೀಯನಿಗೊಂದು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಗುಡಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
