ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ತಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಮಾತು ಸಾಧಾರಣವಾಗಿ ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.

13ನಾವು ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕದ್ದು ಕೊಂಡುಹೋದ ರೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿರಿ;
14ಇದನ್ನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರು.
15ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ತಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಮಾತು ಸಾಧಾರಣವಾಗಿ ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
16ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ತಮಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಹೋದರು.
17ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಸಂದೇಹ ಪಟ್ಟರು.
