ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಕೂಗುತ್ತದಲ್ಲವೋ? ಮತ್ತು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದಲ್ಲವೋ?
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ತುದಿಯ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಾದಿಗಳ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
ದ್ವಾರಗಳ ಬಳಿಯ ಪಟ್ಟ ಣದ ಪ್ರವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಳಗೆ ಬರುವ ಬಾಗಲು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆಕೆ ಕೂಗುವದೇನಂದರೆ--
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
ಓ ಮನು ಷ್ಯರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೇ ನಾನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವು ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice [is] to the sons of man.
ಓ ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರೇ, ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿರಿ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರೇ, ನೀವು ತಿಳು ವಳಿಕೆಯ ಹೃದಯದವರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಉತ್ಕ್ರಷ್ಟ ವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮಾತಾಡುವೆನು; ನ್ಯಾಯ ವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯು ವೆನು.
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips [shall be] right things.
ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾತಾಡುವದು; ನನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness [is] an abomination to my lips.
ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮಾತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ; ಮೂರ್ಖ ತನವಾಗಲಿ ವಕ್ರತೆಯಾಗಲಿ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ.
All the words of my mouth [are] in righteousness; [there is] nothing froward or perverse in them.
ಗ್ರಹಿ ಸುವವನಿಗೆ ಅವು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿಯೂ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಗೆ ಅವು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇವೆ.
They [are] all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನೂ ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಬಂಗಾ ರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದುಕೋ.
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
ಮಾಣಿಕ್ಯ ಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಉತ್ತಮ, ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡತಕ್ಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗದು.
For wisdom [is] better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
ಜ್ಞಾನ ವೆಂಬ ನಾನು ವಿವೇಕದೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಯುಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಕಲ್ಪನಾ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವು ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವದು; ಗರ್ವ ಅಹಂಭಾವ ಕೆಟ್ಟದಾರಿ ಮೂರ್ಖನಬಾಯಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ.
The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೂ ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ನನ್ನವು; ವಿವೇಕವು ನಾನೇ. ನನಗೆ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವಿದೆ.
Counsel [is] mine, and sound wisdom: I [am] understanding; I have strength.
ನನ್ನ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಜರು ಆಳುವರು. ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಡುವರು.
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ಕೀರ್ತಿವಂತರೂ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ಆಳುವರು.
By me princes rule, and nobles, [even] all the judges of the earth.
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವೂ ಘನತೆಯೂ ಹೌದು, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸಂಪತ್ತೂ ನೀತಿಯೂ ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿವೆ.
Riches and honour [are] with me; [yea], durable riches and righteousness.
ನನ್ನ ಫಲವು ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೌದು, ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಆದಾಯವು ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ.
My fruit [is] better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
ನೀತಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯದ ದಾರಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರು ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಿದಂತೆ ನಾನು ಅವರ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸ ಗಳನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸುವೆನು.
That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು.
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
ನಿತ್ಯತ್ವದಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಆರಂಭದಿಂದ, ಭೂಮಿಯು ಇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಾನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲ್ಪ ಟ್ಟೆನು.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
ಅಗಾಧಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಾಗ, ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟೆನು.
When [there were] no depths, I was brought forth; when [there were] no fountains abounding with water.
ಬೆಟ್ಟಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲ್ಪ ಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹೊಲ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಲೋಕದ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕ ಭಾಗದ ಧೂಳನ್ನೂ ಆತನು ಇನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸದೆ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ನಾನು ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟೆನು.
While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
ಆತನು ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅಗಾಧದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಕ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ದಾಗ
When he prepared the heavens, I [was] there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
ಮೇಲೆ ಮೇಘಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅಗಾಧದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದಾಗ
When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
ಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳು ತನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾರದಂತೆ ಸಮು ದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಾನು ಆತ ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದೆನು.
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
ಆಗ ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಳೆದ ವನಂತೆ ಆತನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇದ್ದೆನು; ದಿನಾಲು ನಾನು ಆತನ ಆನಂದವಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
Then I was by him, [as] one brought up [with him:] and I was daily [his] delight, rejoicing always before him;
ಆತನ ಭೂಮಿಯ ವಾಸ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು. ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕುಮಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಆನಂದವಿದ್ದಿತು.
Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights [were] with the sons of men.
ಆದದರಿಂದ ಓ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು.
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed [are they that] keep my ways.
ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸದೇ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
ನನ್ನ ದ್ವಾರಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳ ನಿಲುವು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವನು ಧನ್ಯನು.
Blessed [is] the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನ ದಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನು.ಆದರೆ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಡುಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
ಆದರೆ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಡುಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
