മെരാരിപുത്രന്മാരിൽ ഹോസെക്കു പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ശിമ്രി തലവൻ; ഇവൻ ആദ്യജാതനല്ലെങ്കിലും അവന്റെ അപ്പൻ അവനെ തലവനാക്കി;
