ഹോമയാഗം കഴിച്ചു തീർന്ന ഉടനെ ഇതാ, ശമൂവേൽ വരുന്നു; ശൗൽ അവനെ വന്ദനം ചെയ്‌വാൻ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു.
Homayaagam kazhichchu teernna utane itaa, shamoovel varunnu; shal avane vandanam cheyvaan etirettuchennu.

- 11നീ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു എന്നു ശമൂവേൽ ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു ശൗൽ: ജനം എന്നെ വിട്ടു ചിതറുന്നു എന്നും നിശ്ചയിച്ച അവധിക്കു നീ എത്തിയില്ല എന്നും ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ മിക്മാസിൽ കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടു:
- 12ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ ഇപ്പോൾ ഇങ്ങു ഗില്ഗാലിൽ വന്നു എന്നെ ആക്രമിക്കും; ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു കൃപെക്കായി അപേക്ഷിച്ചതുമില്ലല്ലോ എന്നുവെച്ചു ഞാൻ ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു ഹോമയാഗം കഴിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
