- 18ബാല്യക്കാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ: ബേത്ത്ലേഹെമ്യനായ യിശ്ശായിയുടെ ഒരു മകനെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; അവൻ കിന്നരവായനയിൽ നിപുണനും പരാക്രമശാലിയും യോദ്ധാവും വാക്ചാതുര്യമുള്ളവനും കോമളനും ആകുന്നു; യഹോവയും അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
- 19എന്നാറെ ശൗൽ യിശ്ശായിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു: ആടുകളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ മകൻ ദാവീദിനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയക്കേണം എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.
