പിന്നെ യോനാഥാൻ തന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങളെ ബാല്യക്കാരന്റെ പക്കൽ കൊടുത്തു: പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Pinne yonaathaan tante aayudhangngale baalyakkaarante pakkal kotuttu: pattanattilekku kontupoka ennu paranynyu.

- 41ബാല്യക്കാരൻ പോയ ഉടനെ ദാവീദ് തെക്കുവശത്തുനിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റുവന്നു മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു; അവർ തമ്മിൽ ചുംബനംചെയ്തു കരഞ്ഞു; ദാവീദോ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കരഞ്ഞുപോയി.
- 42യോനാഥാൻ ദാവീദിനോടു: യഹോവ എനിക്കും നിനക്കും എന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ എന്നേക്കും സാക്ഷി എന്നിങ്ങനെ നാം ഇരുവരും യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ സത്യം ചെയ്തിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു സമാധാനത്തോടെ പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു പോയി; യോനാഥാനോ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു പോന്നു.
