King James Version (KJV): [And] when they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that [was] with him, Come, and let us return; lest my father leave [caring] for the asses, and take thought for us.
World English Bible (WEB): When they had come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, “Come! Let’s return, lest my father stop caring about the donkeys and be anxious for us.”
American Standard Version (ASV): When they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return, lest my father leave off caring for the asses, and be anxious for us.

6അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഈ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ഒരു ദൈവപുരുഷൻ ഉണ്ടു; അവൻ മാന്യൻ ആകുന്നു; അവൻ പറയുന്നതെല്ലാം ഒത്തുവരുന്നു; നമുക്കു അവിടെ പോകാം; നാം പോകുവാനുള്ള വഴി അവൻ പക്ഷേ പറഞ്ഞുതരും എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
7ശൗൽ തന്റെ ഭൃത്യനോടു: നാം പോകുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ആ പുരുഷന്നു എന്താകുന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകേണ്ടതു? നമ്മുടെ ഭാണ്ഡത്തിലെ അപ്പം തീർന്നുപോയല്ലോ; ദൈവപുരുഷന്നു കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലുവാൻ ഒരു സമ്മാനവും ഇല്ലല്ലോ; നമുക്കു എന്തുള്ളു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
