3. 8അവൻ യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു സകലപുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും വരുത്തി, ഗേബമുതൽ ബേർ-ശേബവരെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ധൂപം കാട്ടിയിരുന്ന പൂജാഗിരികളെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി, പട്ടണവാതിൽപ്രവേശനത്തിങ്കൽ ഇടത്തുഭാഗത്തു നഗരാധിപതിയായ യോശുവയുടെ വാതില്ക്കലുള്ള പടിവാതിലുകളുടെ പൂജാഗിരികളെയും അവൻ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
4. 9എന്നാൽ പൂജാഗിരിപുരോഹിതന്മാർ യെരൂശലേമിലുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കൽ കയറിയില്ല; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പം തിന്നതേയുള്ളു.
5. 10ആരും തന്റെ മകനെയോ മകളെയോ മോലെക്കിന്നു അഗ്നിപ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്‌വരയിലെ ദഹനസ്ഥലവും അവൻ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി.
