അവൻ മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി. എന്നാൽ അബ്നേർ യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു: ദാവീദിനെ രാജാവായി കിട്ടുവാൻ കുറെ കാലമായല്ലോ നിങ്ങൾ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു.

- 19അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അബ്നേർ ബെന്യാമീന്യരോടും പറഞ്ഞു; പിന്നെ അബ്നേർ യിസ്രായേലിന്നും ബെന്യാമീൻ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും സമ്മതമായതെല്ലാം ദാവീദിനോടു അറിയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഹെബ്രോനിൽ പോയി.
