അവൻ തനിക്കും യാക്കോബിന്നും ഇടയിൽ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തെ വഴിയകലം വെച്ചു; ലാബാന്റെ ശേഷമുള്ള ആട്ടിൻകൂട്ടങ്ങളെ യാക്കോബ് മേയിച്ചു.
Avan tanikkum yaakkobinnum itayil moonnu divasatte vazhiyakalam vechchu; laabaante sheshamulla aattinkoottangngale yaakkob meyichchu.

- 38ആടുകൾ കുടിപ്പാൻ വന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ, താൻ തോലുരിച്ച കൊമ്പുകളെ പാത്തികളിലും വെള്ളം പകരുന്ന തൊട്ടികളിലും ആടുകളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചു; അവ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പാൻ വന്നപ്പോൾ ചനയേറ്റു.
