വാടകൾക്കും വാളിന്നും എതിരെ തടുത്തു നില്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നായി ഈ നഗരത്തിൽ പൊളിച്ചിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വീടുകളെയും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ അരമനകളെയും കുറിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

- 5അവർ കല്ദയരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‌വാൻ ചെല്ലുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അതു, ഞാൻ എന്റെ കോപത്തിലും എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിലും സംഹരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യരുടെ ശവങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു അവയെ നിറെപ്പാനത്രേ; അവരുടെ സകലദോഷവുംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുഖത്തെ ഈ നഗരത്തിന്നു മറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
- 6ഇതാ, ഞാൻ രോഗശാന്തിയും ആരോഗ്യവും വരുത്തി അവരെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കുകയും സമാധാനത്തിന്റെയും സത്യത്തിന്റെയും സമൃദ്ധി അവർക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.
