രാജാക്കന്മാർ ഐവരും മക്കേദയിലെ ഗുഹയിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി കണ്ടു എന്നു യോശുവെക്കു അറിവുകിട്ടി.

15അനന്തരം യോശുവയും യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും ഗില്ഗാലിൽ പാളയത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു.
16എന്നാൽ ആ രാജാക്കന്മാർ ഐവരും ഓടി മക്കേദയിലെ ഗുഹയിൽ ചെന്നു ഒളിച്ചു.
17രാജാക്കന്മാർ ഐവരും മക്കേദയിലെ ഗുഹയിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി കണ്ടു എന്നു യോശുവെക്കു അറിവുകിട്ടി.
18എന്നാറെ യോശുവ: ഗുഹയുടെ ദ്വാരത്തിങ്കൽ വലിയ കല്ലുകൾ ഉരുട്ടിവെച്ചു അവരെ കാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിടെ ആളെയാക്കുവിൻ;
19നിങ്ങളോ നില്ക്കാതെ ശത്രുക്കളെ പിന്തുടർന്നു അവരുടെ പിൻപടയെ സംഹരിപ്പിൻ; പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ കടപ്പാൻ അവരെ സമ്മതിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
