വിളക്കു കത്തിച്ചു പറയിൻകീഴെയല്ല തണ്ടിന്മേലത്രെ വെക്കുന്നതു; അപ്പോൾ അതു വീട്ടിലുള്ള എല്ലാവർക്കും പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു.

- 17ഞാൻ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെയോ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയോ നീക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വന്നു എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കരുതു; നീക്കുവാനല്ല നിവർത്തിപ്പാനത്രെ ഞാൻ വന്നതു.
