ബാലാക്ക് ബിലെയാമിനോടു: “ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിളിപ്പാൻ ആളയച്ചില്ലയോ? നീ വരാതിരുന്നതു എന്തു? നിന്നെ ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു കഴികയില്ലയോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടു:

- 38“ഞാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; എന്നാൽ എന്തെങ്കിലും പറവാൻ എനിക്കു കഴിയുമോ? ദൈവം എന്റെ നാവിന്മേൽ ആക്കിത്തരുന്ന വചനമേ ഞാൻ പ്രസ്താവിക്കയുള്ളു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
