ഞാൻ കുതിരകളെയും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നവരെയും ദർശനത്തിൽ കണ്ടതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നാൽ: അവർക്കു തീനിറവും രക്തനീലവും ഗന്ധകവർണ്ണവുമായ കവചം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; കുതിരകളുടെ തല സിംഹങ്ങളുടെ തലപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു; വായിൽ നിന്നു തീയും പുകയും ഗന്ധകവും പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

King James Version (KJV): And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses [were] as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

18വായിൽ നിന്നു പറപ്പെടുന്ന തീ, പുക, ഗന്ധകം എന്നീ മൂന്നു ബാധയാൽ മനുഷ്യരിൽ മൂന്നിലൊന്നു മരിച്ചുപോയി.
19കുതിരകളുടെ ശക്തി വായിലും വാലിലും ആയിരുന്നു; വാലോ സർപ്പത്തെപ്പോലെയും തലയുള്ളതും ആയിരുന്നു;
