3. 18అయితే సిరియనులు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెదుట నిలువక తిరిగి పారి పోయిరి;దావీదు సిరియనులలో ఏడువేల రథికులను నలుబది వేల కాల్బలమును హతముచేసి సైన్యాధిపతియైన షోపకును చంపి వేసెను.
4. 19తాము ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల చేతిలో ఓడిపోతిమని హదరెజెరుయొక్క సేవకులు తెలిసికొనినప్పుడు వారు దావీదుతో సమాధానపడి అతనికి సేవకులైరి. అంతటినుండి సిరియనులు అమ్మోనీయులకు సహాయము చేయుటకు మనస్సులేక యుండిరి.
