22గుమ్మములయొద్ద ద్వారపాలకులుగా ఏర్పడిన వీరందరు రెండువందల పన్నిద్దరు; వీరు తమ గ్రామముల వరుసను తమ వంశావళి చొప్పున సరిచూడబడిరి; వీరు నమ్మదగినవారని దావీదును దీర్ఘదర్శియగు సమూయేలును వీరిని నియమించిరి.
23వారికిని వారి కుమారు లకును యెహోవా మందిరపు గుమ్మములకు, అనగా గుడా రపు మందిరముయొక్క గుమ్మములకు వంతుల చొప్పున కావలికాయు పని గలిగియుండెను.
