King James Version (KJV): But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all [that was] good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing [that was] vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

11సౌలు నన్ను అనుసరింపక వెనుకతీసి నా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొనకపోయెను గనుక అతనిని రాజుగా నిర్ణయించినందుకు నేను పశ్చాత్తాపపడు చున్నాను. అందుకు సమూయేలు కోపావేశుడై రాత్రి అంత యెహోవాకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టుచుండెను.
