- 2కర్మెలులోని మాయోనునందు ఆస్తిగలవాడొకడు కాపురముండెను. అతడు బహు భాగ్యవంతుడు, అతనికి మూడువేల గొఱ్ఱెలును వెయ్యి మేకలును ఉండెను. అతడుకర్మెలులో తన గొఱ్ఱెల బొచ్చు కత్తిరించుటకై పోయి యుండెను.
- 3అతని పేరు నాబాలు, అతని భార్య పేరు అబీగయీలు. ఈ స్త్రీ సుబుద్ధిగలదై రూపసియైయుండెను. అయితే చర్యలనుబట్టి చూడగా నాబాలు మోటువాడును దుర్మార్గుడునై యుండెను. అతడు కాలేబు సంతతి వాడు.

- 6ఆ భాగ్యవంతునితోనీకును నీ యింటికిని నీకు కలిగిన అంతటికిని క్షేమమవునుగాక అని పలికి యీ వర్తమానము తెలియజెప్పవలెను.
