సమూయేలు అప్పటికి యెహో వాను ఎరుగకుండెను, యెహోవా వాక్కు అతనికి ఇంక ప్రత్యక్షము కాలేదు.

- 9నీవు పోయి, పండుకొమ్ము, ఎవరైన నిన్ను పిలిచినయెడలయెహోవా, నీ దాసుడు ఆలకించుచున్నాడు, ఆజ్ఞనిమ్మని చెప్పుమని సమూయేలుతో అనగా సమూయేలు పోయి తన స్థలమందు పండుకొనెను.
