ఆ మనుష్యుడుయుద్ధములోనుండి వచ్చినవాడను నేనే, నేడు యుద్ధములోనుండి పరుగెత్తి వచ్చితినని ఏలీతో అనగా అతడునాయనా, అక్కడ ఏమి జరిగెనని అడిగెను.
Aa manushyuduyuddhamulonundi vachchinavaadanu nene, nedu yuddhamulonundi parugetti vachchitinani eleeto anagaa atadunaayanaa, akkada emi jarigenani adigenu.

- 17అందుకు అతడుఇశ్రాయేలీ యులు ఫిలిష్తీయులముందర నిలువలేక పారిపోయిరి; జను లలో అనేకులు హతులైరి; హొఫ్నీ ఫీనెహాసు అను నీ యిద్దరు కుమారులు మృతులైరి; మరియు దేవుని మందసము పట్టబడెను అని చెప్పెను
- 18దేవుని మందసమను మాట అతడు పలుకగానే ఏలీ ద్వారముదగ్గర నున్న పీఠము మీదనుండి వెనుకకు పడి మెడవిరిగి చనిపోయెను; ఏల యనగా అతడు వృద్ధుడై బహు స్థూలదేహియై యుండెను. అతడు నలువది సంవత్సరములు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు న్యాయము తీర్చెను.
