కాబట్టి జనులు పాళెములోనికి తిరిగిరాగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలు యెహోవా నేడు మనలను ఫిలిష్తీయులముందర ఎందుకు ఓడించెను? షిలోహులో నున్న యెహోవా నిబంధన మందస మును మనము తీసికొని మన మధ్య నుంచుకొందము రండి; అది మన మధ్యనుండినయెడల అది మన శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి మనలను రక్షించుననిరి.

King James Version (KJV): And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.
World English Bible (WEB): When the people had come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, “Why has the LORD defeated us today before the Philistines? Let’s get the ark of the LORD’s covenant out of Shiloh and bring it to us, that it may come among us and save us out of the hand of our enemies.”

4కాబట్టి జనులు షిలోహునకు కొందరిని పంపి అక్కడనుండి కెరూ బులమధ్య ఆసీనుడైయుండు సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా నిబంధన మందసమును తెప్పించిరి. ఏలీయొక్క యిద్దరు కుమారులైన హొఫ్నీయును ఫీనెహాసును అక్కడనే దేవుని నిబంధన మందసమునొద్ద ఉండిరి.
5యెహోవా నిబంధన మందసము దండులోనికి రాగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరు భూమి ప్రతి ధ్వని నిచ్చునంత గొప్పకేకలు వేసిరి.
