ప్రాకారముగల పట్టణములవారేమి పొలములోని గ్రామములవారేమి ఫిలిష్తీయుల అయిదుగురు సర్దారుల పట్టణములన్నిటి లెక్క చొప్పున బంగారపు పంది కొక్కులను అర్పించిరి. వారు యెహోవా మందసమును దింపిన పెద్దరాయి దీనికి సాక్ష్యము. నేటివరకు ఆ రాయి బేత్షెమెషు వాడైన యెహోషువయొక్క పొలములో నున్నది.

Praakaaramugala pattanamulavaaremi polamuloni graamamulavaaremi philishteeyula ayiduguru sardaarula pattanamulanniti lekka choppuna bangaarapu pandi kokkulanu arpinchiri. King James Version (KJV): And the golden mice, [according to] the number of all the cities of the Philistines [belonging] to the five lords, [both] of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great [stone of] Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: [which stone remaineth] unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Beth-shemite.
World English Bible (WEB): and the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fortified cities and of country villages, even to the great stone on which they set down the LORD’s ark. 19బేత్షెమెషువారు యెహోవా మందసమును తెరచి చూడగా దేవుడు వారిని హతముచేసి ఆ జనులలో ఏబది వేల డెబ్బదిమందిని మొత్తెను. యెహోవా గొప్ప దెబ్బతో అనేకులను మొత్తగా జనులు దుఃఖా క్రాంతులైరి.
20అప్పుడు బేత్షెమెషువారు పరిశుద్ధదేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఎవరు నిలువగలరు? మనయొద్దనుండి ఆయన ఎవరియొద్దకు పోవలెనని చెప్పి
