అతడు పోయి ఎఫ్రాయిము మన్యము తిరిగి షాలిషాదేశమున సంచరింపగా అవి కన బడలేదు. తరువాత వారు షయలీము దేశమును దాటి సంచారము చేసిరి గాని అవి కనబడకయుండెను. బెన్యామీనీయుల దేశము సంచరించి చూడగా అవి దొరకలేదు.

Atadu poyi ephraayimu manyamu tirigi shaalishaadeshamuna sancharimpagaa avi kana badaledu. Taruvaata vaaru shayaleemu deshamunu daati sanchaaramu chesiri gaani avi kanabadakayundenu. Benyaameeneeyula deshamu sancharinchi choodagaa avi dorakaledu.

King James Version (KJV): And he passed through mount Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalisha, but they found [them] not: then they passed through the land of Shalim, and [there they were] not: and he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they found [them] not.

3సౌలు తండ్రియైన కీషుయొక్క గార్దభములు తప్పిపోగా కీషు తన కుమారుడైన సౌలును పిలిచిమన దాసులలో ఒకని తీసికొనిపోయి గార్దభములను వెదకుమని చెప్పెను.
4అతడు పోయి ఎఫ్రాయిము మన్యము తిరిగి షాలిషాదేశమున సంచరింపగా అవి కన బడలేదు. తరువాత వారు షయలీము దేశమును దాటి సంచారము చేసిరి గాని అవి కనబడకయుండెను. బెన్యామీనీయుల దేశము సంచరించి చూడగా అవి దొరకలేదు.
5అయితే వారు సూపు దేశమునకు వచ్చి నప్పుడుమనము తిరిగి వెళ్లుదము రమ్ము, గార్దభముల కొరకు చింతింపక, నా తండ్రి మనకొరకు విచారపడు నేమోయని సౌలు తనయొద్దనున్న పనివానితో అనగా
6వాడుఇదిగో ఈ పట్టణములో దైవజనుడు ఒకడున్నాడు, అతడు బహు ఘనుడు, అతడు ఏ మాట చెప్పునో ఆ మాట నెరవేరును. మనము వెళ్లవలసిన మార్గమును అతడు మనకు తెలియజేయునేమో అతని యొద్దకు వెళ్లుదము రండని చెప్పెను.
