అహాబు సంతతివారివలెనే అతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడునడత నడచెను; అతని తండ్రి మరణమైన తరువాత వారు అతనికి ఆలోచనకర్తలై అతని నాశమునకు కారుకులైరి.

- 6సిరియారాజైన హజాయేలుతో తాను రామాలో చేసిన యుద్ధమునందు తనకు తగిలిన గాయములను బాగుచేసి కొనుటకై అతడు యెజ్రెయేలునకు మరల వచ్చెను. అహాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోరాము రోగియైయున్నాడని విని యూదా రాజైన యెహోరాము కుమారుడగు అహజ్యా అతని దర్శించుటకై యెజ్రెయేలునకు పోయెను.
