కుక్కతన వాంతికి తిరిగినట్టును, కడుగబడిన పంది బురదలో దొర్లుటకు మళ్లి నట్టును అను నిజమైన సామితె చొప్పున వీరికి సంభవించెను.

King James Version (KJV): But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
World English Bible (WEB): But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and “the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire.”
American Standard Version (ASV): It has happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog turning to his own vomit again, and the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire.

20వారు ప్రభువును రక్షకుడునైన యేసుక్రీస్తు విషయమైన అనుభవ జ్ఞానముచేత ఈ లోకమాలిన్యములను తప్పించుకొనిన తరువాత మరల వాటిలో చిక్కుబడి వాటిచేత జయింప బడినయెడల, వారి కడవరి స్థితి మొదటి స్థితికంటె మరి చెడ్డదగును.
21వారు నీతిమార్గమును అనుభవపూర్వకముగా తెలిసి కొని, తమకు అప్పగింపబడిన పరిశుద్ధమైన ఆజ్ఞనుండి తొలగిపోవుటకంటె ఆ మార్గము అనుభవపూర్వకముగా తెలియక యుండుటయే వారికి మేలు.
