మనమీద మనము రాజుగా పట్టాభిషేకము చేసిన అబ్షాలోము యుద్దమందు మరణమాయెను. కాబట్టి మనము రాజును మరల తోడుకొని వచ్చుటను గూర్చి ఏల మాట్లాడక పోతివిు?

- 12మీరు నాకు ఎముక నంటినట్టియు మాంసము నంటినట్టియు సహోదరులై యుండగా రాజును తోడుకొని రాకుండ మీరెందుకు ఆలస్యము చేయుచున్నారని యూదావారి పెద్దలతో చెప్పుమని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.
