29అబ్నేరును అతనివారును ఆ రాత్రి అంత మైదానము గుండ ప్రయాణము చేసి యొర్దానునది దాటి బిత్రోను మార్గమున మహనయీమునకు వచ్చిరి.
30యోవాబు అబ్నేరును తరుముట మాని తిరిగి వచ్చి జనులను సమకూర్చి లెక్కచూడగా దావీదు సేవకులలో అశాహేలు గాక పందొమ్మండుగురు లేకపోయిరి.
31అయితే దావీదు సేవకులు బెన్యామీనీయులలోను అబ్నేరు జనులలోను మూడువందల అరువది మందిని హతము చేసిరి.
32జనులు అశాహేలును ఎత్తికొనిపోయి బేత్లెహేములోనున్న అతని తండ్రి సమాధియందు పాతిపెట్టిరి. తరువాత యోవాబును అతనివారును రాత్రి అంతయు నడిచి తెల్లవారు సమయమున హెబ్రోనునకు వచ్చిరి.
