30అయితే ఓడవారు ఓడ విడిచి పారిపోవలెనని చూచి, తాము అనివిలోనుండి లంగరులు వేయబోవునట్లుగా సముద్రములో పడవ దింపి వేసిరి.
31అందుకు పౌలు వీరు ఓడలో ఉంటేనేగాని మీరు తప్పించుకొనలేరని శతాధిపతితోను సైనికులతోను చెప్పెను.
32వెంటనే సైనికులు పడవ త్రాళ్లు కోసి దాని కొట్టుకొని పోనిచ్చిరి.
33తెల్లవారుచుండగా పౌలు పదునాలుగు దినములనుండి మీరేమియు పుచ్చుకొనక ఉపవాసముతో కనిపెట్టుకొని యున్నారు
34గనుక ఆహారము పుచ్చుకొనుడని మిమ్మును వేడుకొనుచున్నాను; ఇది మీ ప్రాణరక్షణకు సహాయమగును. మీలో ఎవని తల నుండియు ఒక వెండ్రుకయైనను నశింపదని చెప్పుచు, ఆహారము పుచ్చుకొనుడని అందరిని బతిమాలెను.
