తూరునుగూర్చి ప్రభువగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు నదేమనగా నీవు కూలునప్పుడు కలుగు ధ్వనియు, హతులగుచున్నవారి కేకలును, నీలో జరుగు గొప్పవధయు ద్వీపములు విని కంపించును.

- 16సముద్రపు అధిపతులందరును తమ సింహాసనములమీదనుండి దిగి, తమ చొక్కాయి లను విచిత్రమైన వస్త్రములను తీసివేసి, దిగులుపడిన వారై నేలను కూర్చుండి గడగడ వణకుచు నిన్ను చూచి విస్మయపడుదురు.
- 17వారు నిన్నుగూర్చి అంగలార్పు వచన మెత్తి ఈలాగున అందురుసముద్ర నివాసమైనదానా, ఖ్యాతినొందిన పట్ణణమా, నీవెట్లు నాశనమైతివి? సముద్ర ప్రయాణము చేయుటవలన దానికిని దాని నివాసులకును బలము కలిగెను, సముద్రవాసులందరిని భీతిల్లచేసినది ఇదే.
