మనష్షే పెద్దవాడైనందున ఇశ్రాయేలు తన చేతులను యుక్తిగా చాచి చిన్నవాడైన ఎఫ్రాయిము తలమీద తన కుడిచేతిని మనష్షే తలమీద తన యెడమచేతిని ఉంచెను.

- 15అతడు యోసేపును దీవించి - నా పితరులైన అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకులు ఎవని యెదుట నడుచుచుండిరో ఆ దేవుడు, నేను పుట్టినది మొదలుకొని నేటివరకును ఎవడు నన్ను పోషించెనో ఆ దేవుడు,
- 16అనగా సమస్తమైన కీడులలోనుండి నన్ను తప్పించిన దూత యీ పిల్లలను ఆశీర్వదించునుగాక; నా పేరును అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకులను నా పితరుల పేరును వారికి పెట్టబడునుగాక; భూమియందు వారు బహుగా విస్తరించుదురుగాక అని చెప్పెను.
