అంతట కూషురాజైన తిర్హాకా తన మీద యుద్ధము చేయుటకు వచ్చెనని అష్షూరు రాజునకు వినబడినప్పుడు అతడు హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు దూతలను పంపి యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

- 10యూదా రాజగు హిజ్కి యాతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుడియెరూషలేము అష్షూరురాజు చేతికి అప్పగింపబడదని చెప్పి నీవు నమ్ముకొనియున్న నీ దేవునిచేత మోసపోకుము.
- 11అష్షూరురాజులు సకలదేశము లను బొత్తిగా నశింపజేసిన సంగతి నీకు వినబడినది గదా; నీవుమాత్రము తప్పించుకొందువా?
