నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు దారి పొడుగున ఏడ్చుచు, వారిని ఎదుర్కొనుటకు మిస్పాలోనుండి బయలు వెళ్లి వారిని కలిసికొని వారితో అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యా యొద్దకు రండనెను.

- 8అయితే వారిలో పదిమంది మనుష్యులు ఇష్మాయేలుతో పొలములలో దాచబడిన గోధుమలు యవలు తైలము తేనె మొదలైన ద్రవ్యములు మాకు కలవు, మమ్మును చంపకుమని చెప్పుకొనగా అతడు వారి సహోదరులతో కూడ వారిని చంపక మానెను.
