యేసు మరల తనలో మూలుగుచు సమాధియొద్దకు వచ్చెను. అది యొక గుహ, దానిమీద ఒక రాయి పెట్టియుండెను.

39యేసు రాయి తీసివేయుడని చెప్పగా చనిపోయినవాని సహోదరియైన మార్తప్రభువా, అతడు చనిపోయి నాలుగు దినములైనది గనుక ఇప్పటికి వాసనకొట్టునని ఆయనతో చెప్పెను.
40అందుకు యేసు నీవు నమ్మినయెడల దేవుని మహిమ చూతువని నేను నీతో చెప్పలేదా అని ఆమెతో అనెను;
