దాసుడు తన యజమానునికంటె గొప్పవాడు కాడు, పంపబడినవాడు తన్ను పంపిన వానికంటె గొప్పవాడు కాడని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

Daasudu tana yajamaanunikante goppavaadu kaadu, pampabadinavaadu tannu pampina vaanikante goppavaadu kaadani meeto nishchayamugaa cheppuchunnaanu.

14కాబట్టి ప్రభువును బోధకుడనైన నేను మీ పాదములు కడిగిన యెడల మీరును ఒకరి పాదములను ఒకరు కడుగవలసినదే.
15నేను మీకు చేసిన ప్రకారము మీరును చేయవలెనని మీకు మాదిరిగా ఈలాగు చేసితిని.

17ఈ సంగతులు మీరు ఎరుగుదురు గనుక వీటిని చేసినయెడల మీరు ధన్యులగు దురు.
18మిమ్ము నందరినిగూర్చి నేను చెప్పలేదు; నేను ఏర్పరచుకొనినవారిని ఎరుగుదును గాని నాతో కూడ భోజనముచేయువాడు నాకు విరోధముగా తన మడమ యెత్తెను అను లేఖనము నెరవేరుటకై యీలాగు జరుగును.
