అప్పుడా స్త్రీ అయ్యా, యీ బావి లోతైనది, చేదుకొనుటకు నీకేమియు లేదే; ఆ జీవజలము ఏలాగు నీకు దొరకును?
Appudaa stree ayyaa, yee baavi lotainadi, chedukonutaku neekemiyu lede; aa jeevajalamu elaagu neeku dorakunu?

- 12తానును తన కుమాళ్లును, పశువులును, యీబావినీళ్లు త్రాగి మాకిచ్చిన మన తండ్రియైన యాకోబుకంటె నీవు గొప్పవాడవా? అని ఆయనను అడిగెను.
- 13అందుకు యేసు ఈ నీళ్లు త్రాగు ప్రతివాడును మరల దప్పిగొనును;
