2. 21జనులందరు మక్కేదాయందలి పాళెములోనున్న యెహోషువ యొద్దకు సురక్షితముగా తిరిగి వచ్చిరి. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు విరోధముగా ఒక మాటయైన ఆడుటకు ఎవనికిని గుండె చాలకపోయెను.
3. 22యెహోషువఆ గుహకు అడ్డము తీసివేసి గుహలోనుండి ఆ అయిదుగురు రాజులను నాయొద్దకు తీసికొనిరండని చెప్పగా
4. 23వారు ఆలాగు చేసి, యెరూషలేము రాజును హెబ్రోను రాజును యర్మూతు రాజును లాకీషు రాజును ఎగ్లోను రాజును ఆ రాజుల నయిదుగురిని ఆ గుహలోనుండి అతనియొద్దకు తీసికొని వచ్చిరి.
5. 24వారు ఆ రాజు లను వెలుపలికి రప్పించి యెహోషువ యొద్దకు తీసికొని వచ్చినప్పుడు యెహోషువ ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని పిలి పించి, తనతో యుద్ధమునకు వెళ్లివచ్చిన యోధుల అధిపతు లతోమీరు దగ్గరకు రండి; ఈ రాజుల మెడలమీద మీ పాదముల నుంచుడని చెప్పగా వారు దగ్గరకు వచ్చి వారి మెడలమీద తమ పాదములనుంచిరి.
